摘要: Abstract Background Criteria for delayed ejaculation (DE) rely on a long latency (EL) time, lack of control/advancement regarding ejaculation, and associated bother/distress; yet, few studies have investigated these criteria in men who indicate the desire to ejaculate sooner during partnered sex. Aim To help standardize DE by better understanding characteristics sex terms their EL, reported ejaculatory control, level bother/distress, as well perceptions typical ideal ELs general with premature (PE). Methods A total 572 recruited through social media responded an online survey typical, ideal, PE general. They also rated (i) ability control and/or advance (ii) bother/distress. 4 comparison groups were then established: probable (with [DE1] without [DE2] issues), reference group no disorders, identified having PE. Outcomes demonstrate differences bother/distress between groups. Results twice those disorders. When further subdivided into DE2 DE1, greater group. differed significantly from but not Both Clinical Implications Using both EL are useful distinguishing ejaculation. Strengths & Limitations sizable sample drawn multinational population powered study, whereas use recruitment limited generalizability findings. Conclusion differentiate Differences did emerge significant. diagnosing presented. Rowland DL, Cote-Leger P. Moving Toward Empirically Based Standardization Diagnosis Delayed Ejaculation.
