摘要: The oxidation ofdl-α-phenyl ethyl alcohol, benzhydrol and fluorenol by chromium (VI) oxide has been studied in acetic acid-water mixtures under conditions of constant ionic strength hydrogen-ion concentrations between 35° 50°. reaction is the second order rate increases with increasing proportions acid. not a base catalysed one results are explicable on basis hitherto generally accepted mechanism Westheimer.
