摘要: Abstract Scrapping programmes and individual transferable quotas (ITQs) are two management measures frequently used to reduce overcapacity in fisheries. These often aimed at specific vessel segments targeting fish stocks. In this case, fishermen who scrap their vessels or sell may shift fishing activities, possibly contributing other fleets. The aim of paper is provide some insights on issue based a Swedish scrapping programme for trawlers cod Norwegian lobster the introduction an ITQ system pelagic introduced 2008 2009.
