摘要: An attempt at parent vessel reconstruction with Pipeline embolization devices to treat a mycotic pseudoaneurysm of the internal carotid artery skull base is presented. A 50-year-old woman malignant otitis externa and bilateral temporal bone osteomyelitis presented brisk bleeding from her left ear. She had bony dehiscence canal CT extravasation petrous segment angiography. Carotid tortuosity proximally precluded placing covered stent. After lesion stopped spontaneously given presence putting contralateral risk, decision was made preservation flow diversion. However, recurred after 12 days, necessitating sacrifice. This first reported experience in treating device shows that transient cessation insufficient for diversion be effective.
