摘要: The interrelationships between urinary electrolyte circadian rhythms and of feeding, drinking activity were studied in six conscious chair-acclimatized squirrel monkeys (Saimiri sciureus) kept temperature-controlled isolation chambers on a light-dark (LD) 12:12 h cycle. With lights (600 lx) from 0800 to 2000 off (less than 1 h, renal potassium excretion fed ad libitum fell daily minimum 64 +/- 6 mueq/h at 0500 rose maximum 274 13 1700 h. Sodium 2 1000 43 2100 while water 869 63 mul/h 2,307 222 Feeding, drinking, occurred only during the lights-on period. Independence diurnal variations was established a) by depriving food, b) water, c) training perform 2-hourly schedule throughout day night. None these three regimens resulted major reductions amplitude, or changes phase excretion. These findings indicate that potassium, sodium, are controlled mechanisms not passively dependent behavioral patterns activity.
