摘要: The research presented here examines an 8-h observation of pulsar B1822−09, taken by the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope. B1822−09 has been known to exhibit two stable emission modes, B-mode, where precursor (PC) ‘turns-on’, and Q-mode, which is defined interpulse (IP) emission. results our analysis, this extremely long observation, have shown that exhibits at least three other behaviours not seen before in similar pulsars or observations B1822−09. These can be described as Q-mode with PC emission, B-mode IP instances both are ‘on’ when transitioning from one mode other. pulse structure found more complex than previously thought. main (MP) inner cone/core triple (T) configuration together a central sightline traverse. 15°-wide region along MP originate open dipolar field. comes still unknown source. We argue arises within same MP, but likely higher magnetosphere. very clear fluctuation occurs 46.6-P1 associated drifting subpulses. Furthermore, we never any detectable modulations radio frequency, weak feature 70-P1. Coincidently find ratio ‘P3’ 70-P1 its counterpart nearly 3/2, seems imply carousel ‘sparks’ sparks B-mode. circulation times modes virtually equal 140-P1, allows for interpretation features ‘sparks’. Overall, analyses strongly suggest changes allow information transfer between magnetic polar regions contribute global magnetospheric changes.
