The weekend matters: Relationships between stress recovery and affective experiences

摘要: Non-work experiences during the weekend provide opportunities to recover from work demands and replenish lost resources. This longitudinal study examined how specific recovery (relaxation, mastery, control, detachment), as well non-work hassles, were associated with positive negative affective states following workweek. Participants (N 1⁄4 229) completed surveys before week- end, weekend, Hierarchical regression analyses revealed that after controlling for previous week, significantly explained variance in at end of Suggestions future research include a closer examination role individual differences, self-regulation, employee stress recovery.
