摘要: Background: Management of type II odontoid fractures in elderly remains controversial to whether surgical treatment is favored over conservative one. This a study geriatric patients with asymptomatic dens who after sustaining fall were initially evaluated at community hospitals. They placed rigid collar and followed up spine clinic. Purpose: To assess the reliability treating very old fracture conservatively intervention if needed would affect clinical outcome. Study Design: Retrospective literature review. Patient Sample: Consecutive above 80 years age, sustained clinically observed plan, was initiated. Outcome Measures: measures included self-reported worsening neck pain, neurological function, radiographic follow-up period. Materials Methods: A retrospective analysis 5 active fracture.
