摘要: Abstract Fast fluidization flow characteristics were studied using instantaneous pressure signals in a fast unit with 0.152 m i.d. and 8.4 height Zeolite FCC catalyst. The data confirmed that fluidized bed can usually be divided into two main regions, dense region at the bottom dilute top. Within both regions mean void fractions are essentially constant along height. fraction appears to independent of solid circulation rate varies only slightly superficial gas velocity. Upward moving instabilities detected within fairly wave speed over wide range parameters. These have similarity phenomena slugging beds. results suggest solids high-velocity present three different forms—relatively stagnant annulus region, very core form waves rolling upward between annulus.
