摘要: We discuss the problem of partitioning a macroscopic system into collection independent subsystems. The replica-like subsystems is nowadays subject major interest in several field theoretical and applied physics, thermodynamic approach currently favoured by practitioners based on phenomenological definition an interface energy associated with partition, due to lack easily computable expressions for microscopic (i.e.~particle-based) energy. In this article, we outline general derive sharp bounds free terms statistical quantities. potential applications nanothermodynamics possible future directions.
