摘要: This chapter provides a critical discourse analysis (CDA) of three parodic travel guide books about countries that do not exist but are readily recognizable. Analysis the fictitious Jetlag guides reveals their humor is based on widespread stereotypes, irreverence toward culture others, and an attitude placing these peoples places out time/modernity. Nonparodic guidebooks compared to ones revealing serious, nonfiction have own heritage tourism discourse.
