摘要: The therapeutic implications of angiogenic growth factors were identified by the pioneering work Folkman 2 decades ago (1). His laboratory’s documented extent to which tumor development was dependent upon neovascularization and suggested that this relationship might involve specific for neoplasms. Subsequent investigations have established feasibility using recombinant formulations such expedite and/or augment collateral artery in animal models myocardial hindlimb ischemia. This novel strategy treatment vascular insufficiency termed angiogenesis (2). More recent data suggests basis native is not restricted but includes postnatal vasculogenesis as well.
