摘要: Pericardial effusions from 47 patients were examined for cancer cells. Fluids 13 of the 15 with neoplasm involving pericardium decisively “positive.” There no false positive reports. Three had malignancy localized to chest, but not metastatic pericardium. Effusions these three contained tumor The accumulation fluid in a patient known or suspected does necessarily mean disease. Cytologic evaluation fluids is helpful establishing prognosis and mode therapy.
