摘要: Summary In Tasmania, Australia, eucalypt seedlings growing in commercial forestry plantations are often damaged by mammalian herbivores. There is presently a poor understanding of (i) the relationship between abundance herbivores and damage levels; (ii) effect that 1080 poisoning, most frequently employed control technique, has on herbivore abundance. this study, four species was monitored at 35 first year plantations. Forestry companies carried out poisoning operations 28 no attempted remaining seven. When average scat deposition rates for each were regressed against levels browsing damage, significant relationships observed Bennett's wallaby, pademelon or rabbit.
