摘要: After thiourea administration to chick embryos on Day 5.5, total plasma thyroxine concentrations were significantly decreased Days 7.5, 9.5, 10.5, and 11.5 of incubation. Also, radioiodide uptake in normal thiourea-treated was measured at 1.0, 3.0, 5.0 hr post-treatment all days studied. There no statistically significant difference between goitrogen-treated 7.5 9.5. However, 10.5 11.5, a increase observed individuals as compared nontreated embryos. Thyroid wet weights differences the assayed. The data indicate that incubation, pituitary and/or hypothalamus embryo first responds decreases circulating T4 levels. Thus, maturation hypothalamo-adenohypophyseal-thyroid axis during 10.0–13.0 development may be similar found sheep humans midgestation.
