摘要: SUMMARY 1 Cardiovascular risk factors associated with the metabolic syndrome affect vascular functions adversely. The aim of present study was to assess relationship between parameters glucose homeostasis and arterial stiffness in women characteristics syndrome. 2 Twenty post-menopausal participated a cross-sectional which systemic compliance (SAC) plasma glucose, lipids glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) were measured while subjects maintained on diet high fibre, raised protein reduced saturated fat. 3 Regression analysis suggested that mean ( SD) fasting 5.9 ± 1.7 mmol/L, levels 2 h after 75 g load 6.8 ± 3.6 mmol/L, systolic blood pressure 131 ± 12 mmHg HbA1c 5.3 ± 1.7% predicted SAC negatively. following correlations obtained and: (i) glucose: R = -0.49, P = 0.028; (ii) level post-glucose load: R = -0.42, P = 0.064; (iii) HbA1c: P = 0.056; (iv) pressure: R = -0.55, P = 0.012. 4 Relationships significantly independent each other. There no evidence relationships any lipid parameter (other than trend relation triglyceride), bodyweight or waist circumference. 5 In conclusion, syndrome, pressure, possibly load, increased stiffness.
