摘要: Stable carbon isotope discrimination (Δ) showed both intraspecific and interspecific variations in leaves collected from field plants representing a wide range of peanut germplasm grown similar environments. It was predicted, on the basis theoretical models relating Δ water-use efficiency (W), that there could be as much 60% variation W. The leaf material used guide to select genotypes for testing, glasshouse, correlation between Pot nine were conditions unlimited water availability or very restricted supply. Water-use measured all plants. A strong (r = -0.81) found actually varied twofold. Carbon content parts some values highly correlated with therefore well-represented by leaves. Calculation W molar removes associated dry matter. On this basis, against 13C whole plant. link is not direct but suggests other factors, which are discussed, do interfere greatly. data provide more evidence might selection technique C3 species.
