摘要: Abstract Objective The assessment and remediation of boundary-challenged health care professionals is enhanced through examination individual risk factors. We assessed three such factors — attachment style, childhood trauma maladaptive beliefs in 100 attendees (mostly physicians) a continuing medical education (CME) professional boundaries course. propose theoretical model that draws causal arc from maltreatment insecure to elevated for boundary violations. Methods administered the Experiences Close Relationships Questionnaire Revised (ECR-R), Childhood Trauma (CTQ) Young Schema (YSQ) attending CME course on boundaries. Experts rated participant autobiographies determine style early adversities. Correlations relationships between self-ratings expert ratings among different were examined. Results One fifth participants reported moderate severe abuse; sixty percent emotional neglect. Despite this, average anxiety avoidance low, more than half "secure" by experts. was correlated with predicted expert-rated beliefs.
