摘要: Abstract Undoped and Cu2+ doped ZnO–CdS composite nanopowders were synthesized by simple chemical precipitation method. Structural spectroscopic properties of the prepared samples have been characterized XRD, SEM with EDS, TEM, FT-IR, UV–Vis, EPR Photoluminescence studies. X-ray diffraction pattern contains a series peaks corresponds to hexagonal phase ZnO CdS. The average crystallite sizes undoped are determined in range 25–30 nm. TEM micrographs reveal that show spherical like structures little agglomeration. FT-IR spectra fundamental mode vibrations Zn O at 515 cm−1, Cd S 621 cm−1 other functional groups. Optical absorption spectrum sample consists three bands 665, 823 1192 nm attributed transitions 2B1g → 2Eg, 2B2g 2A1g respectively. Crystal field tetragonal parameters evaluated as Dq = 1214, Ds = 1610 Dt = 389 cm−1. From EPR, spin-Hamiltonian hyperfine splitting for g‖ = 2.3391, g⊥ = 2.0550 A‖ = 130 × 10−4 cm−1, A⊥ = 36 × 10−4 cm−1. optical data suggests entered into host lattice tetragonally distorted octahedral site symmetry. PL two emission 367, 380 nm UV region. A sharp blue peak 425 nm broad green 450–570 nm observed. enhanced visible is observed after doping.
