摘要: BACKGROUND: Previous studies of Danish young men showed a steep increase obesity since the birth years early 1940s with levelling off in 1950s. OBJECTIVE: To study current prevalence and its recent changes men. DESIGN: Cross-sectional based on weight height measured at military board for cohorts 1955, 1965 1973‐75. SUBJECTS: We obtained information from old paper files comprising two born 1955 (6549 adults) (6404 prospectively examined 4300 1973‐75 conscription district Denmark during period 1 August 1993 to 31 July 1994. RESULTS: The (defined as body mass index (BMI) 30 kg/m 2 ) was 1.5% 2.1% 4.6% cohorts. median BMI has increased 21.7‐22.8 . CONCLUSION: Obesity is relatively common among
