摘要: Abstract Objective To determine the normal range of feto-maternal haemorrhage (FMH) due to labour, and investigate if type delivery might influence volume FMH. Study design In a prospective cohort trial setting we studied 346 women in their 3rd trimester gestation. Women were classified according delivery: vaginal, instrumental caesarean section. Fetal erythrocytes maternal blood measured by flow cytometry immunophenotyping using fluorochrome-conjugated monoclonal antibody against fetal haemoglobin. For each woman, two samples studied; one pre-labour post-labour. The difference between FMH values obtained post- pre-delivery was established as delivery. Results labour ranged p =0.001), deliveries sections ( =0.008). Conclusions is small. route could not be risk factor for but section increases suffering higher amount transplacental bleeding.
