摘要: Contrary to the common view, this paper suggests that Hippocratic oath does not directly refer controversial subjects of euthanasia and abortion. We interpret in context establishing trust medicine through departure from Pantagruelism. Pantagruelism is coined after Rabelais' classic novel Gargantua Pantagruel. His satire about a wonder herb, Pantagruelion, actually sophisticated model anti-medicine which absence independent moral values properly conducted research fashion flagrant over-medicalization human problems. Rather, we claim physicians should learn Rabelais they keep their practice medical care exploit expertise social privileges for sake ulterior motives, even when patients desire those goals.
