摘要: The herbicide thiobencarb is suspected of causing delayed phytotoxicity syndrome (DPS) in rice plants. While the ultimate agent appears to be its dechlorinated product (deschlorothiobencarb), influence organic carbon on formation deschlorothiobencarb California field soils has not been investigated. Thus, two different were compared for their ability reductively dechlorinate with augmentation: one from eastern Sacramento Valley, which historically displayed DPS, and western not. Rice straw was homogenized into samples each soil produce 0, 0.33 or 2% augmentation. During 90-days anoxic incubation, substantial production measured both types. However, only degradation rate valley positively correlated content. other characteristics DPS-resistant may limit formation.
