摘要: The negative impacts of fossil fuel on the environment should be replaced by clean and sustainable energy sources worldwide. Therefore, use biodiesel as a source is crucial. Biodiesel produced from various natural resources through transesterification process. Considering importance this topic, study focuses assessment oil properties Thymelaea hirsuta Echinops spinosus primary for production. two investigated plants were collected Western Desert Egypt. results showed that lignocellulosic content was about 57.3 79.8 g/100 g in E. 59.1 82.8 T. hirsuta, respectively. samples variable lipid contents (30.2–76.1%). GC-MS fatty acid profile characterized seven FAs twelf hirsuta. greatest CN calculated (379.2) compared to lowest (229.9). Furthermore, values saponification number (SN) 27.9 16.07 value higher heating (HHV) 47.5 MJ/kg 48.3 Meanwhile, exhibited induction period (IP) (19.3 h) comparable (4.3 h). revealed both are potential production according international standards production, work appears one first reports regarding such wild xerophytic promising new
