摘要: We present two test cases showing how electronic and optical spectroscopy techniques their theoretical understanding by first principles can provide information on the strength of adsorbate-substrate interaction at interfaces. Results band structure calculations for two-dimensional silicon sheets (“silicene”) grown silver are shown, pointing out that with metal substrate is strong enough as to disrupt many exceptional properties computed free-standing material, or mitigate differences between various allotropes. The surface functionalized nucleobase molecules then discussed. Calculations predict chemical sensitivity spectra molecular modifications be overwhelmed variations in response induced adsorbates.
