摘要: The purpose of this study was to assess the effect an enriched C-glycosyl flavonoids fraction (EFF-Cp) from Cecropia Pachystachya leaves on behavior, mitochondrial chain function, and oxidative balance in brain rats subjected chronic mild stress. Male Wistar were divided into experimental groups (saline/no stress, saline/stress, EFF-Cp/no EFF-Cp/stress). ECM submitted stress for 40 days. On 35th day, EFF-Cp (50 mg/kg) or saline administrated treatments lasted until 42nd day. 41st days, animals splash test forced swim test. After these behavioral tests, enzymatic activity complexes analyzed. reversed depressive-like behavior induced by ECM. It also increase thiobarbituric acid reactive species, myeloperoxidase activity, nitrite/nitrate concentrations some regions. reduced activities antioxidants superoxide dismutase catalase regions EFF-Cp. most pronounced complex IV all studied Thus, it is can be concluded that exerts antidepressant-like may important physiological process underlying effects.
