摘要: Abstract The auxiliary methoxy aided triphenylamine donors derived coumarin chalcones and their OBO complexes with branched donor-pi-acceptor systems are synthesized characterized. Their photophysical properties extensively studied in solvents of different polarity. They show strong emission solvatochromism have quantum yields up to 0.87. BF2-complexation enhanced the efficiency by approximately 1.4 times compared uncomplexed chalcones. Frontier molecular orbital analysis Generalised Mulliken Hush revealed a intramolecular charge transfer character these chromophores. first, second third order polarizability chromophores evaluated solvatochromic method supported Density Functional Theory calculations using CAM-B3LYP/6-31g(d) method. nonlinear optical susceptibilities obtained Z-scan showed very less values imaginary part. Replacement N-ethyl aryl amine groups provided push-pull thermal stability response.
