摘要: Seizures and epilepsy are frequent clinical manifestations of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs) represent the most common symptomatic presentation supratentorial lesions. Clinicians often diagnose CCMs in patients after a first seizure, or some cases obtaining neuroimaging studies suffering from chronic previously thought to be idiopathic. In cases, lesion is clinically significant solely because its epileptogenicity, but others there may concern about potential hemorrhage focal neurological deficits similar lesion. The authors present current pathophysiological concepts related associated with CCMs. They discuss spectrum seizure disorders these lesions review natural history, prognosis, options for therapeutic intervention.
