摘要: ABSTRACT Objective To determine the effect of standardized education specific to maternal resuscitation on nurses' confidence and competence during obstetric emergencies cost savings associated with program. Design Pre- postintervention surveys designed measure perceived in before after Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification combination drills. Setting The project was conducted at a 12-bed labor delivery, mother/baby unit an acute care, community-based hospital Northwest Arkansas. Participants Sixty-seven registered nurses (RNs) who were employees least 6 months experience delivery or neonatal intensive care completed focused training. Interventions/Measurements ACLS program targeted emergencies, cardiac arrest mother, simulated Obstetric included arrest, postpartum hemorrhage, STAT cesarean, uterine rupture, prolapsed umbilical cord, shoulder dystocia, operative vaginal eclampsia. Results Comparison pre- postassessments revealed improvements when managing emergencies. Nurse increased by 35% nurse 32%. 2-day educational also realized significant savings. Overall costs for decreased from $94849 $42974. Conclusion An educationally sound that classroom time drills led related employee education.
