摘要: Left-sided portal hypertension (LSPH) followed by acute pancreatitis is a rare condition with most patients being asymptomatic. In cases where gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding present, however, the more complicated and mortality very high because of difficulty in diagnosing selecting optimal treatment. A successfully treated case severe GI transcatheter splenic artery embolization reported this article. The patient exhibited uncontrollable was confirmed as gastric varices secondary to LSPH enhanced computed tomography (CT) scan CT-angiography. After embolization, stopped stabilized for entire follow-up period without any complications. conclusion, simple, safe, effective method controlling variceal caused pancreatitis.
