摘要: Ecological disturbances (i.e. pests, invasive species, floods, fires etc.) are a fundamental challenge in managing connected social-ecological systems. Even if treatment for such is available, often managers do not act quickly enough or at all. In this paper we build an agent based model that examines: a) under what circumstances locked into non-action favors ecological disturbances? b) learning strategies most effective avoiding management lock-in? The develop relates adoption of to eradicate with the type preferred by individuals (success bias, conformist and individual). We further strategy as function cost, ability system recover once treated disturbance effect on social system. Our shows importance success-bias imitation size affecting odds eradicating landscapes.
