摘要: Isolated bone cells from the calvaria of newborn rats were grown in monolayer on polyurethane membranes specially constructed culture chambers. These subjected to cyclic biaxial mechanical strains 0.02 per cent (200 microstrain), 0.04 (400 and 0.1 (1000 microstrain) at a frequency one hertz for periods ranging fifteen minutes seventy-two hours. DNA content, an index proliferation, was significantly increased strain applied twenty-four forty-eight content not other amplitudes that evaluated, nor it after prolonged stimulation hours or longer. Synthesis collagen, non-collagenous protein, proteoglycan, as well activity alkaline phosphatase, all indicators macromolecular synthesis, decreased twenty-four, forty-eight, Macromolecular synthesis affected by evaluated this study. At cent, prostaglandin E2 five, fifteen, thirty stimulation, whereas net cAMP did change significantly. This suggests described cellular events (increased proliferation synthesis) occur secondary are mediated, least part, E2.
