摘要: Cyber-physical systems are being deployed in a wide variety of applications, creating highly-capable infrastructure networked ``smart'' that utilize coordinated computational and physical resources to perform complicated tasks either autonomously or cooperation with humans. The design testing these using current methods, while time-consuming costly, is not necessarily sufficient guarantee appropriate trustworthy behavior, especially under unanticipated operational conditions. Biological offer possible examples strategies for autonomous self-improvement, which we explore one: active experimentation. combined use experimentation driven by internal processes the system itself reflection (examining modifying behavior structure during operation) proposed as an approach developing adaptable complex systems.
