摘要: The mass function of freshly formed star clusters is empirically often described as a power law. However the cluster populations young over scale galaxy has been found to be by Schechter-function. Here we address this apparent discrepancy. We assume that in an annulus isolated self- regulated radially-exponential axially-symmetric disk galaxy, local very (embedded) law with upper limit which depends on formation rate density. Radial integration yields galaxy-wide embedded function. This integrated Schechter-type form, results from addition many low forming at all galactocentric distances and rarer massive only close center galaxy.
