摘要: The availability of whole genome sequence information Ixodes scapularis (Acari: Ixodidae), an important disease vector veterinary and public health importance, has opened up new opportunities to explore the species at genomic level. Use acaricides is mainstay in controlling vector, as effective vaccines are not available for most diseases that transmitted by ticks. glutathione S-transferase (GST) enzymes one supergene families involved protecting organism from oxidative stress xenobiotics including acaricides. analysis GST family identified all three broad classes, viz. canonical, mitochondrial, microsomal forms. In total, 35 genes belong five different canonical namely Delta (7 genes), Epsilon (5), Mu (14), Omega (3), Zeta (3 genes) two mitochondrial Kappa class genes, a single gene were found. Interestingly, Delta- Epsilon-class members, which thought be specific Insecta, also Ixodes. Further, vertebrate/mammalian Mu-GSTs (14 Analyses intron-exon organization revealed higher frequency phase '0' '2' introns. comprehensive listing members may help understanding molecular mechanisms acaricide resistance mites Cumulatively, these findings provide in-depth complex evolution family, oldest exist domains life.
