摘要: Schizotypal personality disorder is the prototype of schizophrenia-related disorders and has been demonstrated to have phenomenologic, biologic, treatment, outcome characteristics similar those schizophrenic patients. These studies suggest that patients with schizotypal disorder, like patients, show cognitive impairment, but impairment more focal involves primarily working memory, verbal learning, sustained attention rather than generalized intellectual deficits. reductions in temporal lobe volume, seem be spared frontal volume found some our laboratory. Better “buffering” may prevent severe social deterioration associated schizophrenia. Furthermore, appear less susceptibility psychotic symptoms, part perhaps because better buffered subcortical dopaminergic activity as suggested by recent data from a SPECT/amphetamine paradigm, glucose metabolic study, structural basal ganglia. findings are discussed terms model where capacity for compensatory buffering lateral brain regions, protecting them symptoms chronic
