Fractal Prediction of Grouting Volume for Treating Karst Caverns along a Shield Tunneling Alignment

摘要: Karst geology is common in China, and buried karst formations are widely distributed Guangdong province. In the process of shield tunneling, abundant water resources present caverns could lead to potential for high ingress, a subsequent situ stress change-induced stratum collapse. The development distribution should therefore be identified investigated prior tunnel construction. Grouting an efficient measure stabilize caverns. total volume along tunneling alignment, its relationship with required grouts, evaluated preliminary design phase. Conventionally, empirically estimated based on limited geological drilling hole data; however, accurate results rarely obtained.
