摘要: PURPOSE We assessed differences in compliance and adherence (lateness of patients, visual acuity, reasons for abstaining) between patients with diabetic macular edema (DME) age-related degeneration (AMD), both under anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapy. METHODS included 136 DME (36% women, 65 years, 22 visits, 13.9 injections, 29.9 months follow-up) 109 AMD (59% 76 20 14.7 22.3 (minimum follow-up 12 at least 5 injections). missed appointments >14 days) therapy break-offs >100 days). All delayed were called interviewed abstaining reasons. RESULTS Forty-six percent 22% had one break-off. Thirty-five 50% always on schedule. In DME, there was significant correlation (P = 0.017) the number change acuity. 60% 38% break-off cases, acuity worse than before The most common reason comorbidities (33% 20% DME). CONCLUSION There are regarding adherence, which also affects outcome. Strategies to tie costly intravitreal need be developed improve outcomes efficacy.
