摘要: Electricity generation from wind has grown sharply and its growth potential is still significant. Unlike conventional sources, does not provide reactive power, which necessary to maintain acceptable voltage conditions on the network. This paper deals with implementation of FACTS controller called static synchronous compensator STATCOM improve performance grid connected farms. The control scheme DFIG rotor-side converter, grid-side converter are suitably designed coordinated. essential feature that it ability absorb or inject fast power grid. Therefore regulation device achieved. Moreover restoring system stability after severe disturbance achieved by using STATCOM. increased share in electricity makes more complex integration transmission Wind energy a significant proportion non pollutant generation. If large farm electrically far away connection point system, fed adequate present major instability problem. In order address quality issues arise due turbine grid, operators have imposed stringent regulations requiring turbines Farms full fill plant properties. necessitates use highly sophisticates FACTS. They able rapid active compensations systems, therefore can be used support flow control, increase transient oscillation damping.
