摘要: We hope that this chapter has conveyed the fact many of psychiatric symptoms, signs, and syndromes described in earlier chapters text commonly appear following CNS disturbance. Likewise, most prevalent neurological disorders have important sequelae. Freud, his Project for a scientific pychology, speculated future we would find “behind every crooked thought lies neuron,” recognizing intimate relationship between psychological phenomenon neurophysiology. Fortunately, Cartesian dualism, which artificially dichotomized mind brain, faded considerably during last decade. With continued advances neuropsychology kindred disciplines, especially neuroimaging, Freud’s prediction again appears prescient.
