摘要: Current methods of oxygen uptake (VO2) kinetics data handling may be too simplistic for the complex physiology involved in underlying physiological processes. Therefore, aim this study was to quantify VO2 steady state across full range sub-ventilatory threshold work rates, with a particular focus on onset kinetics. Ten healthy, moderately trained males participated five bouts cycling. Each bout 10 mins at percentage subject’s ventilation (30, 45, 60, 75, 90%) from unloaded The quantified using conventional mono-exponential time constant (tau, τ), as well new Compared linear modelling, non-linear modelling caused deterioration goodness fit (main effect, p < 0.001) all exercise intensities. Remainder were also improved modified application model 0.001). Interestingly, slope regression is similar subjects and absolute intensities, thereby independent subject fitness τ. This could indicate that there are no functional limitations between during phase, occurring latter transition state. Finally, continuing use mask important more instantaneous responses Consequently, further research should conducted approach
