摘要: Nonlinear absorption through laser-induced breakdown (LIB) offers the possibility of localized energy deposition in linearly transparent media and thus non-invasive surgery inside eye. The general sequence events--plasma formation, stress wave emission, cavitation--is always same, but detailed characteristics these processes depend strongly on laser pulse duration. various aspects LIB are reviewed for durations between 80 ns 100 fs, it is discussed, how their dependence duration can be used to control efficacy surgical procedures amount collateral effects.© (1998) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society Optical Engineering.
