Resonance and double negative behavior in metamaterials

摘要: A generic class of metamaterials is introduced and shown to exhibit frequency dependent double negative effective properties. We develop a rigorous method for calculating the intervals where either or positive properties appear show how these imply existence propagating Bloch waves inside sub-wavelength structures. The branches dispersion relation associated with modes are be explicitly determined by Dirichlet spectrum high dielectric phase generalized electrostatic spectra complement.
