摘要: In the mouse accessory olfactory bulb (AOB), inhibitory interneurons play an essential role in gating behaviors elicited by sensory exposure to social odors. Several morphological classes have been described, but full complement of remains incomplete. order develop a more comprehensive view interneuron function AOB, we performed targeted patch clamp recordings from partially-overlapping subsets genetically-labeled and morphologically-defined types. Gad2 (GAD65), Calb2 (calretinin), Cort (cortistatin)-cre lines were used drive selective expression tdTomato AOB interneurons. Calb2-labeled found internal, external, glomerular layers, whereas Cort-labeled enriched within lateral tract (LOT) external cellular layer (ECL). We that granule cells (EGCs) all subpopulations possessed intrinsic functional differences allowed them be readily distinguished internal (IGCs). EGCs showed stronger voltage-gated Na+ non-inactivating K+ currents, decreased I(H) robust excitatory synaptic input. These specific properties did not correspond any type, suggesting transcriptional heterogeneity among IGCs is correlated with these particular marker genes. Intrinsic was also seen juxtaglomerular (JGCs), major subset JGCs exhibiting spontaneous depolarization-evoked plateau potentials. data identify physiological features types will assist future studies function.
