摘要: Human rhinovirus and influenza virus infections of the upper airway lead to colds flu can trigger exacerbations lower diseases including asthma chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Novel diagnostic therapeutic targets are still needed differentiate between cold flu, since clinical course be severe while that is usually more mild. In our investigation infection human respiratory epithelial cells, we used a systems approach identify temporally changing patterns host gene expression from these viruses. After bronchial cells (BEAS-2B) with rhinovirus, or co-infection both viruses, studied time-course changes over three days. We modeled responses viral time documented qualitative quantitative differences in innate immune activation regulation.
