摘要: P40 antibody has been shown to be a more specific squamous and basal cell marker compared with p63. As detection of myoepithelial cells (MECs) plays critical role in breast pathology, the fact that p40 targets an isoform p63, this study was designed compare these antibodies variety lesions, especially those sclerotic stroma carcinoma situ. All studied lesions were selected from daily cases 3 authors stained p40, calponin immunohistochemical stains. Thirty-four (and 19 internal controls) included. Seventy percent constituted (12 cases) ductal situ cases). p63 all showed similar patchy staining pattern 50% lesions. Compared controls, demonstrated decreased intensity up 70% 8% cases, respectively, no cross-reactivity mesenchymal minor epithelial cells. In our study, did not outperform as MEC marker. higher number (P<0.0001). opinion, continues best nuclear for MECs practice pathology.
