摘要: Abstract Foraminiferal assemblages preserved within salt-marsh sediment can provide an accurate and precise means to reconstruct relative sea level due a strong relationship with elevation, which be quantified using transfer function. We collected set of surface samples from two salt marshes in the Morbihan Golfe, France determine foraminiferal distribution patterns. Dominant taxa included Jadammina macrescens , Trochammina inflata Haplophragmoides spp. Miliammina fusca . developed foraminifera-based function modern training 36 23 species. The between observed predicted values (r 2 jack  = 0.7) indicated that is primarily controlled by elevation respect tidal frame reconstructions former are possible (RMSEP  = 0.07 m). application short core (0.32 m) allowed reconstruction levels, were placed chronological framework short-lived radionuclides ( 210 Pb 137 Cs). agreement curve Brest tide-gauge record confirms reliability estimates validity this methodology extend back into pre-instrumental period. Both instrumental microfossil records suggest acceleration rise during 20th century.
