摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the ferredoxin: thioroxin system. The system is a well-established regulatory in oxygenic photosynthesis. It regulates, by light-driven thiol-disulfide exchange, activity of key photosynthetic enzymes. Electrons provided excitation chlorophyll are transferred via ferredoxin and : thioredoxin reductase (FTR) to two types enzyme-specific thioredoxins, f m. thioredoxins as well FFR each contain one redoxactive disulfide bridge involved catalysis, FTR has addition 4Fe-4S cluster. been demonstrated several organisms, its components have isolated characterized. best known from spinach. Both spinach chloroplast cloned expressed Escherichia coli , which considerably simplifies their purification. also cloned, but not overexpressed yet. Recombinant f, strongly E. present cells mostly insoluble form deposited inclusion bodies. presents advantage that bodies can be easily purified freed bulk contaminating proteins.
