摘要: Summary Sixteen patients undergoing colonoscopy were sedated with propofol using a closed-loop control system guided by the Bispectral Index (BIS). Propofol administration, via target-controlled infusion, was controlled proportional-integral-differential algorithm. The median (range) target concentration during 2.3 (1.7–3.6) µg.ml−1. performance characteristics of excellent, absolute error 7 (1–15)%. Patients drowsy yet rousable, BIS set-point 80 (75–85). No patient became apnoeic, required airway support or haemodynamically unstable whilst sedated. Eight moaned moved and four had recall. Median time to full consciousness 4 (2–20) min after end control. Patient surgeon satisfaction high. We conclude that may be suitable variable for sedation propofol.
