摘要: This paper focuses on some of the complications that may arise from errors measurement in quality life (QOL) scales based self-report. It is argued systematic as well random (specifically shape mood-of-the-day effects) will tend to suppress, mask or “wash out” statistical associations between “objective”, sociologically relevant, indicators well-being and self-reported life. Results a Norwegian sample middle-aged old participants health screening operation (N=610) are reported. The findings indicate response acquiescence (“yea-saying”) be source error even balanced QOL-scales, this bias lead one underestimate QOL among well-educated overestimate it older respondents. Utilizing over-time data we able show appears particularly vulnerable effects younger females. Implications for sociological research subjective pointed out.
